With more than 100,000 Britons trying teeth whitening treatments every year, the pearl white collection is becoming more popular than ever.
For many, so-called “whitening agents”, teeth whitening has become an integral part of the beauty routine, such as dyeing hair or waxing legs.
But the good news for those who want to spend less money on their smile is that white teeth do not have to be expensive.

Cheat with smart makeup. Wearing red lipstick with blue base will help to cancel out the yellow smile
According to experts in the dental industry, what you eat, drink and brush can change everything from the power of that winning smile.
And it is often the least questionable foods that make the most difference.
For example, despite their bright red color, strawberries have a long way to go to keep their teeth white, like popcorn.
Rinsing your mouth with coconut oil or baking soda is also great for pearly whites.
But the trick of a winning smile is completely in the eyes. Dr. Mervin Druyan from the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in London explains: “For tooth whiteness to be natural, not fake, the whiteness of your smile should always match the whiteness of your eyes.”
Here are some of the top dentists in the UK offering their tips for a naturally brighter, whiter smile.
Pouring one tablespoon of coconut oil into your mouth can protect against staining. Try washing for 15 minutes
Kissing increases the production of saliva, which in turn helps to wash away bacteria
1. Rinse your mouth with baking soda
Time to transfer your baking soda from your kitchen cupboard to your bathroom cupboard. The fine powder found in many toothpastes is a natural tooth whitener.
“Try mixing a quarter teaspoon of baking soda with water and brushing your teeth,” advises Dr. Richard Marquez of Wimpole Street Dental.
Alternatively, he recommends adding soda to cheap toothpaste. “During the Teeth period, your teeth will look whiter because it is a natural cleansing and oxidizing agent,” he says.
Despite its bright red color, strawberries go a long way in maintaining the whiteness of teeth
2. Eat strawberries
They can stain your clothes, but strawberries have been shown to have the opposite effect on teeth.
“They contain malic acid, which can naturally whiten your teeth,” says Dr. Marquez, but he warns, “Do not leave strawberries on your teeth as this will damage the enamel.”
3. Swig hot salt water
Salt water not only helps to whiten your teeth naturally, but also helps maintain healthy gums. “Salt is a natural antibacterial that attacks the cell walls of bacteria,” explains Dr. Marquez.
Mix a teaspoon of salt in a glass of hot kettle boiling water, freeze it օգտագործել use it as a mouthwash.
4. Eat white food
“The more white food you eat, the whiter your teeth will be,” advises Dr. Marquez. Try to increase your intake of chicken, rice, fish, and avoid pigmented foods such as beets, blueberries, and carrots.
5. Wash the wine with water
It is also best to avoid coffee և balsamic vinegar, and white wine is better than red wine. But Dr. Peta Leigh, a whitening specialist at Elleven Dental in central London, says: This will help minimize staining. ”
6. Use an electric toothbrush
“Electric toothbrushes can remove up to 70 percent more plaque than hand-held brushes because they vibrate or rotate more efficiently than just a hand-held toothbrush,” says Dr. Marquez.
7. Be cheese
Cheese is a great natural cleansing food that can strengthen teeth. Dr. Marquez explains:
Applying Vaseline inside the mouth stops food from sticking to the teeth, while with deep-colored spices such as turmeric, the first thing to do is to keep the teeth pearly white.
Replace your old toothbrush with an electric toothbrush, as they can remove up to 70% more plaque.
8. Use coconut oil as a mouthwash
Pouring one tablespoon of coconut oil into your mouth can protect against staining. Dr. Marquez advises to wash as long as possible. 15 minutes is an ideal time. “It removes bacteria, helps prevent plaque and stains from sticking to teeth,” he says.
9. Drink a lot milk
“Milk calcium helps strengthen tooth enamel, like the bone in the jaw,” says Dr. Marquez, who recommends drinking lemonade or tonic water for brighter-looking teeth.
10. Snack on popcprn
Foods with rough edges, such as popcorn, are known as “detergents”. “Rough edges work to remove bacteria from the teeth,” says Dr. Lee. “Try to make them the last food in your diet if you know you won’t be able to brush your teeth right after eating.”

11. Chew gum
Chewing gum helps to mechanically clean teeth by removing debris. “It stimulates the production of saliva, which increases your ability to neutralize the acid to process the enamel, eventually strengthening your teeth,” explains Dr. Leigh. “Make sure you choose sugar-free chewing gum, if it has whitening properties, even better.”
12. Make time for small additions
“Flossing removes some of the stains between your teeth, making your smile look instantly whiter,” says Dr. Leigh, who recommends flossing several times a week. “Because it will not only improve the health of your gums, but you will also notice that your smile will look brighter,” he says.
13. Improve your brushing technique
You are a good brush. It depends on how much pressure you put on your toothbrush. The trick is to brush hard, but not too hard. You do not want to damage your natural tooth enamel. Brushing twice a day and using fluoride toothpaste also work best.
Coffee dye is the enemy of shiny lime if you do not drink it with straw, while cheese helps clean teeth.
14. Have a wit?
A kiss adds saliva, which helps clean the teeth of bad bacteria. Will no one kiss? You will have to stick to the chewing gum.
15. Always carry a straw
If avoiding coffee, tea, and red wine is too much work, try drinking through a straw. “It simply helps to prevent stains by keeping fluids away from the teeth.
16. Do not forget to clean your tongue.
Our tongue traps food debris, such as red wine, tea, and coffee, which, if ignored, can cause teeth to discolor. A study in the Journal of American Dentistry found that plaque-forming streptococci bacteria increased tenfold in just one week after not cleaning the tongue.
The solution? Transfer the brush to the tongue or apply a tongue cleaner. Try the Amano Tongue Cleaner available at Harrods.
17 Use Vaseline inside your mouth
“A piece of Vaseline can prevent the lipstick from passing to the teeth, which can cause stains,” says Dr. Uchenna Okoye, CEO of Oral-B Smile.

18. Remove snacks
Chinese նդ Indian dishes usually contain a lot of turmeric և food flavors, so it is better to avoid a bright smile. Dr. Marquez warns.
19. Eat an apple a day
Hard or brittle foods help clean teeth when eating. “Apples are considered a natural toothbrush; they are a great way to brush your teeth or at dinner, when you are at work, you can not brush your teeth,” says Dr. Lee. Other options include raw carrots and celery.
20. If everything fails … cheat with good makeup
Wearing red lipstick with a blue base can give teeth shine. “Blue sits on the yellow-orange color wheel, so blue cancels out the orange or yellow hues when they see each other,” explains Dr. Druyan.
“Red lipstick with a blue tint will help to cancel the yellow smile.”
