“The third third of your face is the most powerful anti-aging tool,” says Dr. Uchena Okoye, Clinical Director at London Smiling Dentist Group. “We invest in cleansers, the best eye creams, moisturizers for our skin, but we do not always take good care of our smile.”
The good news? There is a lot you can do to improve the appearance of your teeth, whether it is investing in one of the best electric toothbrushes for effective cleaning or correcting your diet to avoid stains from food or drink. Also, unlike expensive, professional teeth whitening treatments, these home remedies will not cost you much money.
How to whiten teeth at home
To make your smile brighter, it is useful to find out the cause of discoloration.
“Although yellow teeth can have a genetic cause, this cosmetic problem tends to develop over time,” says Dr. Richard Marquez of Dr. Richard London Clinics.
He explains that some lifestyle choices, such as smoking, drinking tea, coffee, soft drinks, and red wine, can affect the whiteness of your teeth.
“Yellowing can be caused by enamel erosion caused by acids, crushing teeth, brushing teeth too hard,” explains Dr. Marquez.
If you are concerned about the color of your teeth, it is best to keep these habits to a minimum. These teeth whitening tricks will help you to decorate them at home.
1. Brush and floss well
Do you think you already know how to brush your teeth? Good oral hygiene is essential for a bright smile, so maybe it’s time to clean up your cleaning technique.
A regular brush is the only effective way to reduce shrinkage and get really clean teeth.
“We recommend brushing at least twice a day for three minutes, even if your teeth feel clean after one minute. 5. Use baking soda
The main contents of this pantry are usually found in teeth whitening products, but for a small part of the price you can make your own whitening paste with baking soda. They should also be avoided if you have current problems with your oral health, such as gingivitis or mouth ulcers.
